Better Buildings, Inc. was established in the mid-1990s and was quickly recognized as one of Southwest Florida’s most experienced steel building contractors and erectors. Since our founding, BBI has always provided personalized service to our clients in both private and public sectors.
Jeff Richards and Jeanette Dean Richards — president and vice president of Better Buildings, Inc. (BBI) for over 25 years — purchased 100% of the decades-old company from the Dean family during the fourth quarter of 2019.
The acquisition is the result of undisclosed negotiations between the longtime leaders and the family members associated with Dean Steel Buildings, Inc. — a metal building manufacturing firm that ultimately fostered the brand that Southwest Florida knows today.
The Richards’ first order of business has been expanding Better Buildings, Inc.’s existing general contracting and design build services. This maintains the “family first” corporate culture established upon the firm’s inception. In addition, the Richards will continue to build, repair and grow the metal building contracting side of BBI.
We have grown into a full-service contracting firm providing small repairs to large interior build outs and complete turnkey commercial projects.
